Sue
is a Songwriter
Sue Ennis is a nationally-recognized songwriter, best
known for her work with the platinum-selling Seattle rock band Heart.
She has also written award-winning
jingles,
children’s songs for a puppet
theatre,
and songs to accompany everything from fireworks to fund raisers for ladies’ groups.
Sue holds B.A. degrees in English and German from Willamette
University and an M.A. in German Literature from University
of California, Berkeley.
Sue has Platinum Albums
Sue has co-written over 70 songs with Ann
and Nancy Wilson of Heart with over
35 million records sold. She has earned 10 gold, 4 platinum, 1 triple platinum
and 1 quintuple platinum albums. Her songs have also been included in the
feature films “The
Golden Child” starring
Eddie Murphy and that blockbuster film for the four year old set, “Thomas
and The Magic Railroad.”
Sue is
a Teacher
She teaches songwriting workshops for all ages. She
also has judged songwriting contests for Rockrgrl magazine
and helped develop a Songwriting Interactive experience for the Experience
Music Project, Paul Allen’s Music Museum in Seattle. Her “Craft
of Songwriting” class sells out every quarter at Shoreline
Community College where she teaches aspiring songwriters the ins and
outs of strong lyric writing, song structure and capturing catchy melodies.
Sue is also on faculty at the Pacific
Northwest Film Scoring Program where she teaches “Songwriting for
Film.”

is a President
Sue is President of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy (NARAS).
Sue
is a Composer
Sue composed the music for the 6 minute musical, "The Great Seattle Fire," a permanent exhibit in the Muesum of History and Industry in Seattle. She composed the score and songs for "Art Dog," a musical adaptation of the beloved children's adventure by Thacher Hurd. The show had its world premiere at the Seattle Children's Theatre in April 2014.
Sue
is a Band member, a Music Producer and a Vocal/Performance Coach
She plays keyboards, sings and writes songs in a
fun little band called The
Lovemongers. She has also co- produced Heart and Lovemonger albums as well
as number of music tracks and vocals for Weatherhead
Experience Design Group, a company that provides interactive exhibits to
museums. Sue serves as the Performance Coach for Gimme
The Mike - Seattle a talent search TV show.
Music Sue LOVES
The Beatles for their ingenuity
and humor, Joni Mitchell for
her poetry, Elton John for his chord changes and moments of deep
melancholy, Timbaland for his humor and beautiful insanity, and Rufus
Wainwright for his choruses, harmonies and phrasing.
